The Experience
There is a specific rhythm to life on a Luzzu. From the moment you step onto the vibrant, hand-painted deck, the pace slows down to match the movement of the sea. It is an afternoon defined by the salt air, the shade of the canopy, and the ease of good company.
Our hosts ensure the atmosphere is as authentic as the boat itself. Whether you are diving into the deep blue or sharing stories over a cold drink, the experience is about the luxury of time and the heritage of the islands.
The Journey
We depart St. Paul’s Bay at 15:30, tracing the coastline where golden limestone cliffs meet the open Mediterranean. The Luzzu navigates toward the quiet, clear waters of Santa Marija Bay in Comino, a tucked-away alternative to the busier channels.
After dropping anchor for a swim and a brief landing on the shore, we begin the slow sail back as the afternoon light begins to fade. We return to the harbor by 19:30, just as the island settles into the evening.
The Food
At the heart of every trip is a genuine Maltese picnic, the way locals eat by the sea. It is a spread of honest, sun-drenched flavors, from sharp ġbejna cheese and savory Maltese sausage to the staple Ħobża biż-Żejt, prepared with ripe tomatoes and local olive oil.
Depending on your chosen package, the menu ranges from the essential Maltese bite to a rolling selection of seasonal appetizers and artisanal treats. Every dish is a tribute to the island’s produce, served fresh on deck with chilled local beer as we sail.
The Packages
Every package is an invitation aboard our traditional Luzzu for an escape into the golden hour.
Departing St. Paul’s Bay at 15:30, we sail towards the crystal waters of Santa Marija Bay, Comino, returning as the sun dips low at 19:30.
Whether you choose a simple bite or a full coastal feast, the salt air and the spirit of the islands remain the same.
